Mi mamá siempre me decía lo importante que era que yo aprendiera a cocinar tamales con la receta tradicional que era herencia de mi bisabuela pero por floja no aprendí. Al fallecer mi mamá yo creí que la tradición se había perdido pero, en la noche de Todos Santos ella volvió a enseñarme, agradezco al Santo Niño de Atocha por tal milagro y por aprender a hacer esos tamales. Puebla.

My mom always told me how important it was for me to learn to cook tamales using the traditional recipe inherited from my great-grandmother, but I was too lazy to learn. When my mom passed away, I thought the tradition was lost, but on All Saints' Eve, she taught me again; I thank the Santo Niño de Atocha for such a miracle and for the chance to learn how to make those tamales.
