Estando en la pulquería Inocencio Fernández ya bien briago de tanto tomar mezcal, comenzó a ver muchas calacas que se le empezaban a acercar y una de ellas le preguntó: Por qué tan solito? y resultó ser la mismísima huesuda que se lo quería llevar al más allá. Le da las infinitas gracias con el presente retablito a San Miguelito Arcángel de que pudo salir corriendo de ese lugar sano y entero, antes de petatearse el merito 2 de Noviembre, prometiendo ya enmendar camino. While at the *pulquería*, Inocencio Fernández—thoroughly drunk on mezcal—began to see many skeletons approaching him; one of them asked, "Why so alone?" and turned out to be the Bony Lady herself, intent on taking him to the beyond. He offers endless thanks to Saint Michael the Archangel via this little *retablo* for allowing him to escape that place safe and sound—avoiding death on the very day of November 2nd—and vows to mend his ways.
