Él es considerado como uno de los más importantes pintores paisajistas mexicanos del siglo XIX y sus obras le han dado un lugar muy especial dentro de la plástica mexicana. Admiro muchas de sus obras, pero especialmente su obra llamada: "Popocatépetl e Iztaccíhuatl". México.

Cuando yo era niño, mi padre me puso una película de Godzilla y quedé tan emocionado con aquel gigantesco monstruo que me volví fan de ese tipo de cine y me prometí a mí mismo que algún día viajaría a Japón. Le agradezco de todo corazón a San Cristóbal con este exvoto que, gracias a mis ahorros, pude realizar mi sueño y conocer en persona la ciudad que mi monstruo favorito destruía en sus películas. El señor Faustino Cabrera dedica el presente retablito a San Antonio Abad por haber recuperado a su burrito "Pancho", porque unos días antes, un ladrón se lo había llevado y gracias a su intervención divina lo encontró sano en el campo, estando juntos de nuevo, por lo que está muy contento.
